Opportunities and Limits of a Plastic Emissions Budget

We all know the budget-approach to set CO-Emissions in relation to geographic entities or to individuals. Does a Plastic Emissions Budget work as well or are there differences? After four years of research to develop a formula für calculating a Plastic Emissions Budget and thinking about how such a Budget can be used for a governance of plastics, we showed our results. In this event, we drew a bigger picture and discussed how a Plastic Budget could be made compatible for international use. Therefore, we had a closer look, how challenges of plastic waste are dealt with in Ghana and saw, what we can learn from each other.
